What Is Fibroblast Skin Tightening?

Fibroblast Skin Tightening, is a revolutionary non-surgical, non-invasive treatment where no scalpels or any other surgical instruments are used to tighten excess tissue that causes wrinkles and sagging.

This treatment not only significantly reduces fine lines and wrinkles, it also helps eliminate skin tags, sun damage, stretch marks and scars. During the procedure, a tiny plasma flash (also known as an electrical arc) is discharged from the tip of our FDA registered Planoplas Pen.

The tip of the pen is held above the skin and the plasma arc connects the tip of the device to the surface of the skin.  A series of tiny dots are strategically placed in the targeted area and the skin around the dot tightens and shrinks instantly, pulling the cells closer together.  This controlled microtrauma to the skin stimulates the fibroblasts in the dermis layer of the skin that produces collagen cells which help the skin look younger and rejuvenated.

The Planoplas Pen produces amazing results instantly and continue to improve over the following 12 weeks.

Fibroblast therapy is an elective, aesthetic, beauty procedure that we offer as an alternative to laser, injections, botox and surgical therapies to tighten, rejuvenate, and improve the skin’s appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Are Fibroblasts?

Fibroblast therapy targets fibroblast cells.  Fibroblasts are the collagen producing and protein producing cells in the dermis layer of the skin which is just below your outermost skin layer.  Fibroblasts play an important role in maintaining skin firmness and tightness, as well as, helping skin wounds heal.

What Is The Planoplas Pen That You Use?

Planoplas is the world’s most advanced, non-invasive, skin lifting, skin tightening and rejuvenation device used to treat wrinkles and sagging, dull skin,  dull skin.  The Planoplas Pen is an FDA approved, CE approved device.

A closer look reveals the tightening effects of the skin between the pattern of dots.

The arc creates a tiny, micro-injury in the skin’s surface layer due to a reaction called sublimation. The ”needle-like” tip is a sterile, disposable, one-time-use product.

The result of Fibroblast therapy is regeneration and tightening of the skin in the treated area.

According to a 2019 article published in the PFMA (Plastic Surgery Maxillofacial Surgery Aesthetic Medicine) Journal, the thermal disruption, or heat micro-damage from Plaa Fibroblast Therapy:

  • Stimulates fibroblast activity

  • Breaks down proteins in the skin

  • Causes tissue contraction (tightening)

  • Encourages tissue regeneration

How Long are the Sessions?

Most clients need only one treatment and will see results instantly and continue to see improvements over the course of the following 12 weeks. Occasionally, based on the area being treated, skin laxity, the desired degree of correction a second may be recommended. Follow-up treatments can be done 12 weeks after initial procedure.

What are the benefits of Fibroblast?

One of the major advantages of Plasma Fibroblast Treatment is that it offers a much less invasive and less expensive alternative to surgery. The results are instant and visible during the treatment itself, with further improvement seen during the following 12 weeks which will last years.

In contrast to conventional surgery:

  • There is no general anesthetic required,

  • The skin is not cut

  • No stitches are needed

  • No scaring

  • No bruising

  • No bleeding

  • Virtually painless with topical anesthetic

  • The skin cannot be over-lifted.

The technology used means that once the skin has reached its proper tightening point, it just turns off.  This assures that only the natural excess skin is reduced without thinning the skin or damaging the deeper layers.

  • Safe.

  • No risk of infection if aftercare if followed precisely.

  • Minimum downtime

  • Fast recovery

  • Long lasting results

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Most clients need only one treatment and will see results instantly and continue to see improvements over the course of the following 12 weeks.  Occasionally, based on the area being treated, skin laxity, the desired degree of correction a second or third may be recommended. Follow-up treatments can be done 12 weeks after initial procedure.

Is The Procedure Painful?

There is a slight discomfort some people describe as a small rubberband snap. But rest assured,  I use all the tools available to keep you comfortable like the highest quality numbing cream, low lighting, soft background music and a comfortable environment during your 30 minute numbing period.

Will There Be Downtime?

Downtime depends on your working situation and lifestyle.  You may resume your day-to-day activities immediately after your treatment, but this does not mean there is no downtime.

The plasma arc causes tiny ”crusts” to form on the skin giving the distinctive dotting effect so you may not look your best during the healing process (up to 7 days).

You can also experience significant swelling in the area treated, particularly in the eye area.  The swelling will dimmish over a 2-3 day period. Once the tiny crusts haver fallen off (approximately

5-7 days), your skin may be pinkish in color.  You may begin to apply your normal foundation, make-up and sunblock at this time.

You will be given specific aftercare instructions and products. Follow these exactly as written to ensure the best results.

ABSOLUTELY NO MAKE-UP UNTIL ALL THE CRUSTS HAVE FALLEN OFF.

When Will I See Visible Results?

The positive effect of the Plasma Fibroblast treatment is instant and visible immediately after the treatment itself, but will be even more noticeable as the fibroblastcells continue to do their work of the following 12 weeks.

Follow up treatments may be performed after 6 to 8 weeks depending on your skin’s healing.  Follow up treatments are often offered at a discount

How Long Will The Result Last?

As Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening is more than a simple tightening treatment, tiny spots of skin are carbonized creating crusts that fall off.  The removal of these small dots of skin causes effects that should last as long as more invasive treatments.  Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of plasma treatment are not entirely permanent and won’t stop the ageing process. However, the positive results should last you 3 years, depending on the area treated.

The positive effects of treatment will be noticeable immediately after the first treatment, but the results will be seen over a 12 week period  For some, an additional treatment may be required after 12weeks for maximum results.

Additionally, there are lifestyle factors that can hinder the lasting results, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure.

REGULAR DAILY SKIN CARE WILL ADD TO LONGER LASTING RESULTS.
